Why are you here?

"Why are you here? "That is an interesting question.

It could be a personal curiousity to track back a clear mark of your life, it could be a hostile rejection when you showed up in a place that you were not welcomed, or it could be just a statement with doubt when they firmly believe you stepped into a complete wrong spot that you don't belong to, which will lead to self confustion and self re-evaluation.

Why I am here? Fighting with this 6 months long, average 100+ degree summer heat surrounded by saguaroes and dry river beds every year, bearing the dead silence after 9pm and talking to the shinning stars in the sky to share the loneliness, taking 20 months to get the first full time employment oppotunity with pitiful pay after survived from that 2 weeks Auschwitz Concentration Camp style trainning and still could be kicked out anytime......People say "Beauty is the eyes of the beholder", Tucson definitely is not my lover.

But I am here, complaining and struggling but also trying the best to find any happiness and sparks. Every morning on the way to work, there is a huge bulletin advertising www.tucsonwillsurpriseyou.com, I am still waiting for that magical moment that I will burst tears over an unbelievable surprise, just as it took me 27 years to find a guy I have been deeply in love with -- "my diamond in the desert".

One of my co-worker asked me this question today, randomly happened in a casual conversation, he said "You could work for Boeing if you are in Seattle, making tons of money and why you are here?" I smiled, showed him the ring on my finger, and told him "Home is where your heart belongs".
